When VMware wanted to boost their customer experience, create a more usable digital marketing platform for their customers and business partners (via vmware.com), and improve their self-service capabilities (via myvmware.com), they turned to Deloitte Digital. In one of VMware’s largest customer-experience transformations to-date, we helped change VMware’s daily interactions with more than 800,000 global customers and partners.

Results that last.

We conducted an “Ease of Doing Business” pain-point analysis of the VMware customer and partner online experience. Our improvement recommendations helped VMware conceptionalize, design, and implement a new solution for global Digital Marketing and online customer and partner self-service. Our ongoing contributions to VMware’s business strategy, creative conceptualization, UX design, and technical delivery have helped VMware establish a long-term, collaborative approach to their web and mobile initiatives.

My VMware

Together with VMware, we helped design and develop an intuitive portal that makes it easy for VMware customers and partners to manage licenses, download products, and get support. My VMware simplifies and streamlines customer interactions by providing an account-based view of license keys, support requests, contracts, and other information in a centralized location. The portal increases flexibility with folder-based organization, saves time with self-service features and guided workflows, and delegate task-based roles with granular permissions.

VMware web content management

We set out to help VMware improve their globalization capability to facilitate market expansion by implementing this next-gen global web content management system (CMS). The CMS is now supporting 24 countries in 16 languages, and is designed to scale as VMware expands into new markets. We helped the company create a more consistent global brand experience, while streamlining and reducing the manual effort required to manage marketing and product communications in different countries and languages.
